Welcome to the Eastlink Wild Blueberry Centre—the vibrant heartbeat of Cumberland County.
Located at 177 Lower Main Street, our state-of-the-art regional hub is more than just a building; it is a testament to the resilience, unity, and forward-thinking spirit of Oxford and the surrounding communities.
Our Journey:
The Oxford Community Centre (OCC) Association was formed in 2021 with the goal of leading the Community in building a new OCC that will serve as an accessible social, recreational and cultural community focal point.
In 2018, our community lost the ability to safely access the previous OCC due to a large sink hole that developed on the property, and as a result lost a vibrant community hub.
The lack of an OCC had left a noticeable gap, impacting community spirit and well-being. For these reasons, a group of volunteers formed the OCC Association to rebuild our community’s spirit with a new OCC with the following objectives:
- Building a new and accessible OCC that meets the growing needs of our community.
- Overseeing the operation with a focus on efficiency and climate resilience.
The Oxford Community Centre Association was established in 2021 as a not-for-profit organization with a vision to lead the development of a new Community Centre and oversee its operations for years to come. Our goal is to provide a facility that is efficient, affordable, sustainable, and welcoming to all.
Completed in 2026, this 30,000 square foot facility was created to bring our community together by offering services and opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
This project was made possible through the generous support of our founding partners and the outstanding contributions of local businesses and community members. We hope you enjoy all that the Eastlink Wild Blueberry Centre has to offer and that it serves as a gathering place where our community can connect, grow, and thrive.
